With the rise of a new day, a new month, a new year the anticipation for change and greatness dawn. ‘This is the year,’ we proclaim with all the energies and the gumption and the convictions of our truest authenticity. What is it about a new year that forces us to quiet ourselves and consider life as we know it? I’ve had to do a lot of self-reflecting this past year and although it hasn’t been easy I have been grateful for it. I’ve had to learn the hard way a lot of the time and I’ve been full of regrets, but as I continue to get older I crave perspective.
This new year is going to be a learning and challenging year for me, as every year is, but this year I’m choosing to live each day with a fresh perspective. I’ve prayed over which ‘word’ the Lord would have for me this year and it dawned on me that a daily perspective shift would do me wonders. It’s been less than 24 hours into the new year and I’ve already had to shift my thinking 😉 God knows our hearts and He knows exactly what we need to learn and grow in in this new year. Trust Him with it. If you’re thinking ‘this is the year,’ by all means shoot for the stars, but remember no matter what triumphs may come or ‘failures’ may occur, you are STILL His and He loves you and as long as you remain in Him, He will remain faithful.
