The art of photography and the way it balances your perspective.
It’s been 2 years and 5 months since I’ve started this photography journey and what a journey it’s been! I’ve never learned so much and engrossed myself in so much than I do when it comes to photography. I have a ton to learn and I’ve accepted I will never ‘arrive,’ because photography is truly an art and it changes and morphs over time. The ‘rules’ don’t change, per say, but as a creative there’s no getting around the constant evolution and finding of your souls creativity.
Each new day brings fresh eyes and glimpses of my eternal identity and I’m so thankful to my Creator, the greatest creative there ever will be, for gifting me with such a life-giving perspective!
As I’ve been gifted, I desire to serve. And to serve is to ultimately fulfill.
You may not think twice about this nor deem it necessary, but as a momma and photographer who desires to capture my everyday moments, I hope you find joy in searching out the different perspectives of your own life through capturing images of your own with these 8 helpful photography perspective tips!

- Tell the Story.
As a ‘story teller’ and lifestyle photographer, I LOVE seeing the ‘bigger’ picture. Don’t be afraid of the mess or the clutter all the time! It tells the story of your life. And it’s sweet.
2. Bird’s Eye View
Literally, shoot with a bird’s perspective 😉
3. Fill the frame.
Don’t be afraid to get up close and personal, you never know what might happen!
4. Lead with lines.
Get creative! There are lines that lead to your subject of choice found everywhere, you may just have to move to find it 😉
5. Grab the details.
Please don’t forget the details! These are what make our world go round.
6. Get on their level.
It’s amazing what you see at different levels. MOVE!
7. Look Through.
It can be a mirror, it can be glass, it can be a window. Hey! It can even be a leaf with a hole in it 🙂 Whatever you can find, use it! It’s always about being creative.
8. Forget the ‘rules.’
Yes, you heard me right 🙂 Forget them. Photography is an art. It can’t be defined or limited to one way or the other. You are the artist and you see life in many different ways than others around you, so don’t put yourself or your artistry in a box!
Now it’s your turn 🙂 Get creative and practice, practice, practice, and please don’t forget to be YOU!
Truly hope you’ve enjoyed!! And please feel free to share if you’ve found this helpful 🙂
